Welcome to the Mildenhall & District Town Twinning Association Website.

Mildenhall is twinned with Luc sur Mer, a small seaside town north of Caen, in between the famous Normandy Landing Beaches.

The twinning came about as a result of almost 30 years of visits by Riverside Middle School to the town.  We were invited to make the link official and we did so in 1993.

Over a thousand Riverside pupils have been to Luc on their first trip to France and they have been followed by many adults.  In alternate years the English visit Luc and they visit us and are hosted in families.

Luc is an excellent base for exploring Normandy.  Bayeux, with the famous tapestry and the landing beaches with their story which should never be forgotten, are all within easy reach.  Normandy itself is beautiful, with its magnificent beaches and tranquil countryside.

The welcome is always warm.  Language, or the lack thereof, is a never a barrier.

Why not pay them a visit?!
